FAQs

Everything you’ve been wondering and a few things you didn’t think to ask! Please do not hesitate to call or text with any questions or concerns.
Question

Wedding Basics (IMPORTANT)

Answer

Please be sure to bring a valid form of identification to both our wedding venue and the brewery on Saturday. Whether you're freshly 21 or 80 years young, you will need an ID — no exceptions. Our reception venue will NOT allow anyone inside without one.

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

We recommend walking or using Uber/Lyft to get to Lake Effect if possible. There is parking available near the venue entrance, but rates may be hourly or up to $30 for the day. If you plan to drive, we recommend parking at the Royal Wood Plaza Parking Lot, an outdoor 24-hour lot located just northwest of Lake Effect: 250 W 200 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101

Question

What is the dress code for the reception?

Answer

Mostly black, keep it dark! We kindly ask guests to wear black attire for our wedding. Dark shades and deep tones are absolutely welcome as well. Whether you choose something formal or casual, please feel free to dress in whatever style is most comfortable for you. Thank you for helping us create a beautiful, unified look for our special day!

Question

Wedding Food & Beverage

Answer

We’re keeping it fun and flexible with a buffet-style dinner and free drink tickets to get the night started! After your tickets are gone, the bar will stay open as a cash bar! Lets keep the good times rolling however you like!

Question

Kids & Plus Ones?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to include those listed on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding as we keep things small and special. While we love your little ones, our wedding venue is a 21+ location. We hope you enjoy a fun night out with us!

Question

What is the weather like in Utah in May?

Answer

Late May in Utah is usually beautiful! It’s that sweet spot between spring and summer — warm during the day, often in the 70s to low 80s°F (20–28°C), and cooler in the evenings, sometimes dipping into the 50s°F (10–15°C). You can expect plenty of sunshine, but the mountains and desert both like to surprise us, so pack a light jacket just in case.

Question

Who should I contact if I have more questions?

Answer

Aree & Nick (up until May 28th) - Please call or text us with any questions or concerns Bree Castellaw - (949)322-1991 Or Michael Emory - (949)300-9440 For any questions you may have day of or over the weekend!

Question

Answer
