All events related to the welcome ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will all be indoors at the Oliver Building. There is an outdoor space available for fresh air and some yard games during the welcome reception, cocktail hour, and reception.
The ceremony will begin on the second floor of the Oliver Building at 4 pm. You may begin arriving to the venue at 3:30 pm for a welcome reception with an open bar and will be directed to move upstairs for the ceremony just before 4 pm.
Yes! We will have a family suite on the 3rd floor that is large with couches, rugs for crawling and playing, for naps, feedings, diaper changes, etc. We will also have a kids corner and kids' table on the 2nd floor during the reception with rugs, toys, coloring supplies, etc. to keep them busy while you can keep an eye on them.
Absolutely! There will be 2 featured cocktails, a variety of wine, beer, and liquor. There will also be a mystery tub of IPA's for our fellow hoppy beer loving fans!
There will be free parking (we can fit around 200 cars) in the parking lot a few doors down from the Oliver Building. You are allowed to park overnight for free as well should you need to catch a ride or Uber to your accommodations after the reception. Please be sure to retrieve your car by Sunday morning as soon as possible if leaving it overnight. There will be 2 large signs with our names on it to indicate where to park.
Last call for alcohol will be at 10:30 pm and we must all exit the venue by 11 pm. There are a few local bars in the West Bottoms, haunted houses, and numerous bars in the downtown area should you wish to continue the party.
We are still working to line up hotel blocks in the area surrounding the downtown Kansas City and Historic West Bottoms area. Please choose a local AirBnB or hotel of your choice that is within your budget and ideal distance to the Oliver Building. There are numerous hotels and AirBnBs within 6-10 minutes of the venue.
Yes! We will have a traditional, short wedding ceremony with a bridal party, vows, and family unity ceremonies to be able to share the important moment with you and all of our favorite people in the world! We will also share a video and slideshow of our ceremony and adventures from Norway for the first time after our live ceremony!
Jonathan will keep his name and Lauren will proudly add Turner behind Hallerud to share Logan and Kyla's last name while still keeping her Norweigan roots.
