What to Wear: Black-Tie Optional Attire
Our wedding will be *black-tie optional* — which simply means slightly less formal than a traditional black-tie event, but still an elegant occasion. The ceremony will be outdoors under a covered structure, with the reception taking place indoors. With that in mind, here’s a little guidance to help you dress comfortably and stylish:
For Men
Tuxedos are welcome but not required. A dark formal suit with a dress shirt and tie is perfectly appropriate. Think classic and polished — dress shoes and attention to detail (like a pocket square or cufflinks) will elevate the look.
For Women
Floor-length gowns are encouraged for those who love to dress up, but cocktail dresses or sophisticated midi dresses are also completely appropriate. Choose a dress that feels special — something you'd wear to a formal evening event. Consider the season when selecting fabrics: early fall is a great time for rich tones, florals, or soft metallics.
