Passport & Visa Requirements
In Italy, it is a strict legal requirement for all accommodations (hotels, Airbnbs, and B&Bs) to verify the identity of every guest. They are required by public safety laws to register your passport details with local police within 24 hours of your arrival. If you are staying at Villa Marina Dei Greci, we will be requesting a copy of your passport prior to arrival. U.S. citizens do not need a visa to visit Italy for tourism or business stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

General Transportion Note
Giardini Naxos is a relaxed seaside town and many restaurants, cafés, beach clubs, bars, pharmacies, convenience stores, and shops can be reached on foot depending on where you're staying. Guests staying at Naxos Marina Bay will be within easy walking distance of the waterfront promenade, restaurants, cafés, and local shops. Villa Marina dei Greci is located in a quieter area just outside the main center, but restaurants, bars, and services are still accessible by foot (approximately 10–15 minutes) or by a short taxi ride. For getting around locally, traditional taxis are generally the most reliable option. Uber is very limited in Sicily and Lyft is not available. We recommend downloading WhatsApp before your trip, as many local drivers, restaurants, tour operators, and businesses prefer to communicate by phone or WhatsApp rather than through apps. For visits to Taormina, Castelmola, Mt. Etna, or other nearby destinations, taxis can easily be arranged, and additional transportation details will be provided for any wedding-related events that include organized transfers. As with many towns in Sicily, expect some hills, uneven sidewalks, stone streets, and stairs—comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended for exploring between events.
