Things To Do

A note from the bride - thank you so much for coming to my hometown! The wedding events will happen in Clear Lake, a suburb of Houston. Below are recommendations of "things to do" from my family and me in both Clear Lake and the city of Houston. Note: If you visit the city, be sure to buffer enough time to make it to the wedding events - traffic is roughly 45 minutes both ways.

Houston Rodeo (March 2 - March 22)

NASA Johnson Space Center

"Houston, we have a problem." The museum is in Clear Lake itself so roughly 20 minutes from the wedding events.

Kemah Boardwalk

215 Kipp Avenue, Kemah, TX 77565

Boardwalk with restaurants, shops and rides for kids (and adults.) About 5-10 minutes from the Southshore Harbor Hotel (hotel with buses and room block) and the Lakewood Yacht Club (Welcome cocktails) and 20 minutes from the wedding venue.

Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant

10515 North Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78759

The Quiñones family's favorite Tex Mex spot. Get the steak fajitas. There are multiple locations but we recommend the Clear Lake location.

Camerata

1830 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77098

Wine bar in Montrose (in Houston proper.) Only has indoor seating but fantastic wines and close to great restaurants.

Rice Village (located in Houston proper)

Houston, TX 77005

Near Rice University - walkable, shops and bars. Beautiful part of the city.
