Weather
Weather in Varadero Cuba is hot in April, with an average in the high 20's. Please dress appropriately and bring sandals for the wedding! I personally recommend dresses for the ladies, to let that cool Cuban breeze refresh you! Gentlemen, unfortunately, you can't wear a dress (but if you want to, I won't frown upon it lol); just be comfortable!! We are there to have fun after all ;)

Currency
Cuban's accept credit cards for most payments but the currency is the Cuban Peso. Visit your bank and get the appropriate amount of money you plan to spend before leaving or alternatively, you can exchange your Canadian money in Cuba at the airport. Keep in mind you may pay a higher exchange rate than in Canada!! Most US credit cards won't work in Cuba so please contact your bank beforehand to ensure your card will work and also to advise them of your travel plans :)

Tips/Gifts
Cuban's, and especially the hotel staff, like to receive gifts in lieu of cash. Bring things like small toys, advil, nail polish, razor and shaving cream, etc. Tip: Bring a pair of gardening gloves to a gardener at the resort and you may earn yourself a fresh coconut chopped fresh off the palm tree. Pop a straw in an Voila! Instant refreshment :)
