The 7 day trip includes airfare, hotels, meals, snack bar and drinks. The only additional cost is any excursions you may want to take, tips and souvenirs. The trip can be as low cost or high cost as you wish!
There are a number of activities offered for free by the hotel such as non-motorized water sports, aqua aerobics, dance lessons and nightly entertainment. For those who wish to do something extra special, excursions can be booked through your travel arranger. Jerry & I will be heading to Havana on the first couple of days before our guests arrive to see a little of the sights!!
Google recommends bringing in adapter as some hotels still haven't updated their plugs to 220V, although most of the new hotels have. My recommendation: Bring one! Better to be safe then sorry!
1) 3 bottles of sunscreen; 2) A small purse to bring to the restaurant at night for like lip-gloss, money, camera, etc.; 3) Hat for the beach; 4) 1 or 2 bathing suit cover ups; 5) A few bathing suits; damp suits take longer to dry because of the humidity; 6) Light clothes to sleep in, they do have AC but its humid; 7) For the ladies, cream make-up is better than powder, again, due to the humidity ; and waterproof mascara.
1)Gifts for your room attendant. They only get to keep 1% of the money we give them. Hot items are pens/pencils, small toys, razor, shaving cream, nail polish, Advil / Tylenol, etc. that you can purchase at your local dollar-store; 2) Medications: Bring anything you want medication wise with you because they don’t have much and will charge an arm and a leg for anything they do have. My suggestions: Advil, Pepto/Imodium, Sinus meds, Aloe; 3) Cool clothing, breathable material such as cotton; 4) Comfortable shoes/sandals, avoid heels (example: wedges, sneakers, etc.); 5) Get your pesos ahead of time at your local bank to save on the exchange rate; 6) Large refillable cup or mug: The bars have small cups for drinks and water so a larger mug will prevent you returning multiple times during the day.
