Due to hurricane Helene, there are road closures that may not show up on GPS. Here is your go-to with updated directions to wedding site.
I-26 West Bound
North Carolina Exit 44 Fletcher/US-25
Right onto Asheville Highway go 2.6 miles
Right onto Cane Creek Road go 8.6 miles
Right onto Charlotte Highway
Venue is about 6.5 miles on Right
A few miles BEFORE you reach venue….
*You will come upon road closure signs near Bearwallow Road intersection. Go around those road closure signs and continue straight. You will see the Gerton Fire Department on the right as you do so.
At this point your GPS will stop working 😊
As you continue straight, you will come upon a stoplight. STOP and use it! Part of the road is gone so it is one lane in a blind curve and the stop light ensures there are no collisions.
The venue is about a mile down
on the right.
Travel Note
Laughing Waters Retreat Center
The location is south of Asheville. Those traveling on I-26 northbound will take the Fletcher, NC exit to the wedding location. Chain hotels are located north in Arden, NC and south in Hendersonville, NC. There are numerous VRBO rentals in Gerton, NC and Fairview, NC. Fairview and Gerton will be the closest in proximity. *Side note-if you are traveling through the city limits of Fletcher, NC watch your speed!
