Wedding Party

Meet our beloved bridesmaids and groomsmen bringing the family together!

Miranda Liu

Maid of Honor

My one and only amazing sister who has supported me through thick and thin! Growing up in Vegas, I learned my first dance moves and urban survival skills from her. She kept me sane when we moved to China, and again when I moved to LA for college. We lived as roommates in LA, along with the "Liu Zoo" - an iguana, python, parrot, pug, ferret, chameleons and various international film students!

Ana Carrizales

Bridesmaid

There's never been a dull moment in my many adventures with Ana - from producing experimental performance art to canoeing down the Yukon River whilst filming shamanic rituals - she's one of the smartest, funniest, and most creative souls you'll ever meet, and with a heart of gold. She also introduced me to her brother Carlos, the love of my life!

Irene Hsu

Bridesmaid

My dazzling cousin and soul sister who always inspires me to be the best version of myself! As kids, we dressed as twins in matching puffy dresses, watched endless Strawberry Shortcake cartoons, and organized elaborate magic shows for Christmas, an early sign that we were kindred masters of the universe. She also got me hooked on Murakami books.

Luis Carrizales

Best Man

A twin can be, for the very first part of your life, a total challenge that can drive you crazy. Having the same needs and competing for your mother’s scarce attention… sharing books and toys, and picking a fight every two hours. But in the second part of your life, a twin is an extraordinary privilege. You get the chance to look at a trustworthy mirror, to discover the qualities he deploys as we get older, a truly inspiring reference. And when your twin fathers another pair of twins, you find yet another reason to be proud and humble. Meet my twin brother and father of Stefano and Nicolas!

Christopher Plunkett

Groomsman

As many, I had the misfortune of attending school in the traditional way: knowledge was locked inside books (no internet, no Wikipedia!), the boring voice of teachers and the annoying sight of blackboards (in Peru they came in green colours!). So, I was extremely lucky to befriend Chris. He taught me that Music is the way to learn Astronomy, Math and Religion. Despite my terrible voice and being out of tune, this gifted man with a perfect musical ear has tolerated me for many years. He insists on grabbing a guitar and singing a few songs with me, from time to time, for charity’s sake.

Arturo Higa

Groomsman

We met a few years ago (only 31 years!) right after being admitted to college. Leaving my comfortable pack of friends after 11 years of primary and high school was an equally thrilling and frightening experience. The first weeks of college confirmed some of my fears: an ocean of people from all over the country, many better prepared, outspoken, and even capable of dancing Salsa! Fortunately, Arturo and his family adopted me. From then on, there was no tragedy (such as a teenager’s broken heart) that he would not patiently listen to for a good 2 or 3 hours over a couple beers. After three decades, and despite being an extraordinary editor and designer, he still finds time for the same!

Alexis Patiño-Patroni

Groomsman

Over the years, I was lucky enough to meet friends, one or two at a time, who were (and still are) the cornerstones for building one’s own life. Alexis was the guy my mother used to call her "fifth son" and who introduced me to the sea, long and good walks, profound conversations, and the value of serenity. Although I was the nerdy book worm at the beginning, he ended up becoming Dr. Alexis Patiño-Patroni, a gifted scholar!
