Amazing steamed buns, noodles, and Taiwanese classics in the Santa Anita Mall... you can watch them wrapping the buns and then visit a really cute Japanese stationary shop across the hallway called Maido!
Urth Caffe Pasadena
Lovely European-West Coast style cafe serving breakfast and lunch with lots of fresh and healthy options, and good organic coffees! It can get busy on weekends, so go early. Then walk across the street to my favourite bookstore in LA - Vroman's Bookstore !
Universal Studios Hollywood
For all the movie lovers, this is a great full day experience with rides, the 7 story IMAX, shops, restaurants, the Bubba Shrimp Co., and tons to do for the whole family!
West Hollywood Bar Hopping!
A trip to LA would not be complete without a stroll down West Hollywood's main drag, LA's pride district -tons of great restaurants, funky bars, and the best people watching in the city! We loved the Izakaya Tora patio - great sake and skewers!! Plus they let Yoda sit at the table with us :)
Huntington Beach Pier
Huntington Beach is more laid back and less crowded than the Santa Monica or Venice Beaches - great for surfing, strolling on the pier, seafood , and birdwatching at the nearby Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Also an easy drive from LA that avoids downtown traffic.
Newport Beach
Where the wedding party will be staying! We love the Fly N Fish Oyster Bar and Grill, super casual ocean front place with great seafood menu ! There's a great boardwalk for renting bikes and coasting down the beach, and a swanky rooftop bar at the Lido Hotel!
