You could fly in a few days before and check out nearby city of Venice! (Or leave from there too) Don’t forget to check out the romantic town of Verona along the way. 3 hours west-You'll see every lake within the lake district including Lake Como, Lugano & Maggiore & their magical garden islands, stunning mountains &quaint villages. Exciting/relaxing activities: thermal baths, mountain lifts, waterfall rappelling, sailing &parasailing. 3 hours east is the stunning country of Slovenia! Travel north into the Trentino/South Tyrol regions for breathtaking views of the Dolomite mountains (UNESCO) & quaint valley villages. There's TRULY NO PLACE LIKE IT IN THE WORLD. I would not miss it! 2 hours north & find yourself in Switzerland or Austria. In 2 hours & 45 minutes you're in Germany! 30 minutes from the south of Lake Garda is the romantic Romeo & Juliet town of Verona. Stroll the winding streets along the canal on your way to/from Venice which is 2 hours away. Less than 2hrs south into Reggio Emilia (where I trained in culinary arts) & you’re in the triangle of where Maserati, Lamborghini & Ferrari are made. The countryside & towns are incredible.

Verona Airport (VRN) 54.46 Km Brescia Montichiari Airport (VBS) 64.82 Km Bolzano Airport (BZO) 73.76 Km Bergamo Airport (BGY) 91.48 Km You can only fly to these airports with a stop somewhere within the EU as they’re not international. This is the distance from the airport to Riva del Garda. The drive from any of these is beautiful, especially from Bolzano and along the lake.
