Kentucky Bourbon Trail
If you're a fan of Bourbon you've come to the right place! We have many distilleries to tour and book a sampling right in town or just a 30 minute drive outside of Lexington. If you're looking for something close, go to the map on the website and search the Bluegrass Region. Cheers!!
Distillery District
One of our favorite areas to visit is the Distillery District! There's a variety of food, breweries, a distillery, specialty ice cream shop and even an arcade bar!
Keeneland Association Inc
It will be opening weekend at Keeneland! If you enjoy horse racing this is the perfect weekend to come to town. Nothing screams Kentucky like horse racing in the fall with a bourbon drink in your hand. We have enjoyed attending on Sunday's as it is usually a little less crowded. As it is opening weekend, tickets will sell out fast! Hope you have better luck than us and win big!
Mary Todd Lincoln House
If you're into history, the house Mary Todd Lincoln grew up in is right downtown Lexington! Abraham Lincoln did visit and stay at the house. Tours are usually an hour long. After your tour, enjoy the Museum Store, small garden, and complimentary downtown self-guided walking tour.
Ashland - The Henry Clay Estate
Another piece of history is the Henry Clay Estate. Visit the mansion of Henry Clay, while also exploring the lands around to learn about the history of slavery in Kentucky.
