This is one of our favorite places in Philadelphia. This park has miles and miles of trails to explore with beautiful views of the Wissahickon creek. There are so many different entrances throughout Germantown, Mount airy, east falls, and chestnut hill.
Our favorite brewery in Philadelphia. We love it here. Our friends, Todd and Laura own this establishment. We love the bartenders. Best beer.
A charming old- timey chocolate shop in Old City Philadelphia full of confectionary wonders. It is one of Michael and his daughter Beta‘s favorite places in Philly.
This thrift shop is right around the corner from our house and full of second-hand treasures of all sorts. We go here all the time.
Eremita has amazing coffee, teas, delicious sweet and savory pastries, and a really enjoyable sit-down-and-hang atmosphere. It's right across the street from Poppy and Bean.
Poppy and Bean is just the best little boutique and vintage store beautifully curated by our dear friend, Colleen. It is right across the street from Eremita Cafe. It's always worth a look.
Great coffee, all sorts of fresh bread and pastries made daily! Open Thu-Sun 10am to 3pm
Adelie has excellent coffee, delicious bagels delivered from NYC every morning, an assortment of cream cheeses, and panini-type sandwiches.
Weaver's Way is one of the first cooperative grocery stores in the United States and full of great food. Stop here for any stock-ups. It is a great place to walk around and enjoy a quiet neighborhood “village” type place. High point coffee shop, a vintage shop called the Mercantile, a book store, and typewriter store are all very close. Carpenters woods- a miniature version of the Wissahickon park, is also a short walk away.
A very unique historical museum of medical oddities that is like nowhere else - think saponified woman, Grover Cleveland's tumor, paper thin slices of brain, skeletons, cabinets of things swallowed by people, etc.
