The year was Circa 2012 and I decided to go watch the AAMU Tennis team play. There I met a young woman who we became friends. Our friendship was very plain and simple, I messed and teased her and she disliked me even more. I always thought she was cute, however her availability was off the market at the time. I began my plan of extending our friendship by officially dropping in her DM’s on December 30, 2012 9:48 pm by saying I “I wanna beat u in tennis”. From that our REAL Friendship grew because I was placed on the Friend Zone List where no one thought I would ever get out. Our friendship went from sharing different funny videos on facebook, to her words of wisdom and encouragement, to each other catching feelings but not being able to be in a committed relationship, to being in a long distance relationship, to sneaking off on a road trip together without anyone knowing, to me meeting her amazing family, and to me proposing. -The Groom
The day Three proposed to me, he asked me if I wanted to get something to eat from the IHop in Evans, Ga. We were visiting my parents and I had planned on going to a bridal show with my mother later that day. (Yes that was very strange to be planning a wedding without the ring, but I knew he was the one!) I had a feeling the proposal would happen soon because I was growing impatient. However, I didn't see this coming on 2/4/2018. So, after Three invited me to what I thought was a lunch date... One by one my mom and father invited themselves. Although I was annoyed that this had turned into a family outing, I reluctantly agreed. I remembered driving separately and it was a rainy and cloudy day. I was pressuring him the entire drive about the silliness of going to a bridal shower without an engagement ring. He told me to relax and just gather ideas for our big day, one day. We made it to Ihop and we were seated on one side of the restaurant. Three appeared unhappy with the placement and asked to be seated on the other side. I reluctantly walked over with him and saw his mother, aunt, and my best friends. It still didn't hit me until he dropped on one knee in the middle of IHOP. I was unprepared and in total shock. Yep, he got me! That moment was everything I dreamt of. I can't believe I'm marrying my forever friend! - The Bride
