Things To See in SRQ

The Wedding Website of Emily Handziuk and Ashton Pierre
We chose Sarasota for our wedding because of its awesome weather, beautiful beaches, and laid back atmosphere. We'll be in and around downtown Sarasota which likely has enough to keep you occupied the entire time, but there are a few other great spots worth mentioning. If you have the time, you should either make sure to get to Lido Key/St Armands or Siesta Beach/Village.
Siesta Key Beach

Siesta Key Beach

948 Beach Rd, Sarasota, FL 34242

One of the most famous beaches in the world due to its famous sand, it really is like no other. While it's a bit further away from the Hyatt than Lido, it's still worth a visit if you have the time. Make sure to swing by Siesta Village if you're here.

Lido Key Beach

Lido Key Beach

400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, Sarasota, FL 34236

Great beach that's the closest to the hotel. All you need to do is cross the bridge, pass St. Armands, and you'll be there! We highly recommend spending some time here, so don't miss it.

Siesta Key Village

Siesta Key Village

5145 Ocean Blvd, Siesta Key, FL 34242

Assortment of shops, restaurants, and bars that give Siesta Key its fun-loving reputation.

Saint Armands Circle

Saint Armands Circle

Saint Armands Circle, Sarasota, FL 34236

Boutiques, restaurants & salons set around a charming circular park with Italian statuary. There's a lot of great classy Instagram moments here. If you visit, don't miss Lido Beach.

Gulf Gate

Gulf Gate

6639 Superior Ave, Sarasota, FL 34231

If you REALLY want to say you've been to Sarasota, and you love yourself a dive bar, there's no place like the Gulf Gate area. Grab yourself a Fat Sandy and brownie at Munchie's 420, then have some Oysters at Monk's, then mosey on down for a few nightcaps at West End Pub and Tommy Knockers. Old school vibes for new school memories. Leave the kids at home.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

800 South Palm Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236
, (941) 214-9005

The botanical gardens are within walking distance of the Hyatt and are beautiful. This is a great family activity!
