Getting to the Wedding
Cobh Cathedral → Fota Island Resort
Cobh and Fota are ~15–20 minutes apart. The easiest option is a pre-booked taxi directly to the resort after the ceremony.
There is also a train from Cobh to Fota (~10 mins) on the Cork–Cobh line. From Fota Station it’s a short taxi ride (~5 mins) or a 20–25 minute walk to the resort. Driving is via the R624 with parking available at Fota Island Resort.
From Ireland
Dublin: ~3 hrs by car or train + transfer
Limerick: ~1.5–2 hrs by car or via Cork City
Galway: ~2.5–3 hrs by car or via Cork City
Kerry: ~2–2.5 hrs by car to Cork
Cork City/Airport: ~20–30 mins
International
London: direct flights to Cork (1–1.5 hrs)
Europe: fly direct or via UK hubs (2–6 hrs total)
Canada: fly to Dublin (direct from Toronto/Montreal, sometimes Vancouver), then ~3 hrs to Cork, or connect via London/Amsterdam to Cork
Tip: Cork Airport is the closest option.
