Travel & Accomodation

West Donegal is off the beaten track so we've made a wee guide for how to get here and where to stay. If you need any more advice or want to run some travel logistics past us, just give us a shout. This part of the world means so much to us both, we can't wait to share it with you.

Flight

Fly to Donegal Airport

Fly to Dublin then hop on one of the twice daily 40 minute Aer Lingus regional flights to Donegal. The airport is no more than 30 minutes from our accommodation recommendations and Aoibheann's home so once you hire a car from the airport you won't have far to go (plus it was voted one of the most scenic landings in the world).

Rental Car

Fly & drive from Dublin or Belfast

In case you want to take in a bit more of Ireland, you can fly to Dublin or Belfast from Bristol and drive from there. Expect around 4 hours from Dublin and 3 from Belfast.

Rental Car

Drive from the UK

Probably not one we'd recommend unless you want to make a proper trip of your time in Ireland and really want to explore. Irish Ferries and Stena Line sail from Holyhead to Dublin, which is around a 3-4 hour voyage. From Dublin, you're 4 hours from Donegal.

Our wedding dinner will be at Danny Minnies, so if you don't want to travel too far afterwards...
