Big Meadow Golf Course at Black Butte Ranch
There are a lot of golf options to choose from in the area, however, the Ranch has not one, but two award winning golf courses on premise. You might catch Tony and I at the driving range!
Sisters
Sisters is the closest town to the Ranch and incredibly charming, with shops, restaurants and local businesses to explore.
Smith Rock State Park
One of the most iconic parks in all of the PNW, Smith Rock is a must see when visiting central Oregon! It is located about an hour from Black Butte Ranch and has hiking options for all skill levels and scenic viewpoints of the spectacular rock formations. Parking fills up early so we suggest visiting early in the morning or late afternoon!
Camp Sherman
Camp Sherman Campground is nestled on the banks of the scenic Metolius River in Deschutes National Forest and is great for picnics or scenic walks along the river. The general store has sandwiches and food you can pick up before you head out. For the more adventurous of us (Uncle Jim!), it is also a great location for fly fishing!
