We wish we could tell you that fireworks spontaneously went off, that our eyes locked and we "just knew" the moment we met...but that's not exactly how the story goes. January 4th, 2014, the Eagles played the Saints in the Wild Card Playoff game. LaMonica and her friend Ashley were watching the game while rooting on their high school friend who at the time, was a Cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles. During halftime, Ashley got a call from her cousin Anthony inviting her over to his apartment to watch the rest of the game. Ashley asked LaMonica if she wanted to go and after declining several times, LaMonica agreed. They arrived at Anthony's apartment and LaMonica and Anthony immediately connected because they discovered they were both Atlanta Falcons fans (And they both really hated the Saints). They ended up talking for the remainder of the game. It was clear there was something there but they were both too stubborn to make a move. However, later that night, Ashley called LaMonica to tell her that Anthony had asked for her number but she wanted to make sure it was okay to give it to him. LaMonica agreed and shortly after, they had their first date. After their first date, they had several more dates but still neither one of them would admit that they had fallen hard for the other. After all, this was only supposed to be a "casual thing". That all changed on April 27, 2014 when they took a trip together to Orlando, FL. On their last night there, Anthony took LaMonica to Universal City Walk and asked her to be his girlfriend. It all started with a football game and ends with forever...

December 16th, 2017 - What was supposed to be my Dirty 30 birthday weekend turned into one of the best, most memorable times of my life. My birthday weekend was the weekend of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons game. Our Atlanta friends came down for the game and to also help me celebrate my Dirty 30! I had nothing to wear for that Saturday night so my friends took me to the mall to help me pick out an outfit. One of my favorite things to do is Karaoke. Anthony surprised me with a private Karaoke party room where we all got to sing and have a good time. Our time in the room was winding down and one of our good friends, Jason Jones, put on the last song which was "Marry You" by Bruno Mars. I didn't think anything of it until Anthony walked up to me and took me by the hand to dance to it. He whispered in my ear, "Are you ready for this?" and he got down on one knee and proposed!
