Anthony had recently moved to Austin from California, and joined our church small group. Initially, Anthony didn't think much of Kylie - "a cute but kinda boring girl who doesn't talk at all" - and Kylie didn't think much of Anthony - "a rowdy, loud kid, who I could never date because he doesn't eat vegetables and only likes pizza and burgers." Their small group started playing board games more regularly, and through that, Anthony got to see more of Kylie's chatty, fun, quirky side. He decided then that he liked Kylie, and asked her on a "sneaker" date. An official date shortly followed, and the rest is history!
We grabbed Amy's ice cream (a very regular go-to) with friends of ours, and decided to document our first official "double date" with photos. Little did Kylie know, the plan was to sneakily document the whole proposal. Instead of just a couple's photo, Anthony got down on one knee to ask Kylie to marry him. It was completely unexpected in the moment, and he totally managed to surprise Kylie. We're SO excited to celebrate with you, and can't wait to see you in Austin this fall!
