I met Bridget on a medical school visit to Wisconsin while we were both studying pre-med at University of Iowa, and she has been one of my best friends ever since. She is always down to watch the Hawkeyes, she let me introduce her to John Mulaney, and she is one of my first phone calls when I have good news or just need to vent. She is also getting married next year, and planning our weddings together has been AMAZING.
Nick Pilafas
Best Man
Nick has been longest friend. We initially met in middle school when we were on the same football team, but then he moved to Arizona before high school. Nick came back to Illinois our sophomore year, and we have been close friends since then. There are too many fond memories to list them all, but I will never forget Saturdays after football games watching highlights and ordering taco 12 packs. Nick's family treated me like one of their own, and I am happy to call him my best friend.
Miah Thompson
Maid of Honor
Miah is my longest friend. We've been through elementary school, high school, and college together, and she is the kind of friend you want by your side for all of it. She can make me laugh until I'm crying, she was always a great study buddy, and she was occasionally a bad influence (in the best way). We currently live about 2,000 miles away, but we still talk everyday, and I knew I couldn't get married without her!
Marcus Azzano

Marcus is my brother. We have grown up together, living with our grandparents. He is someone that I have relied on in the past for many of life's challenges, even though I am the older brother. We spend a lot of time arguing and bantering about sports, even though I'm right 95% of the time. He is also getting married this year, and I can't wait to be there for him like he has been for me.
Catie Kochanski

I cannot say enough about Catie and our friendship. We have been friends since middle school when we were still playing park district soccer. We quickly went from teammates to friends, and now she is one of my best friends. She was the first to pick me up when I was struggling (high school, am I right?), but she was also cheering the loudest when I got my white coat in medical school (and she brought a sign). She has helped make me the woman I am today, and I can only hope I've been half as good of a friend to her.
Scott Cleven

Scott and I have been friends since high school, and even though we had different circles, we were still very close throughout the years. Our friendship grew even more when we went to college at The University of Iowa, lived in the same dorm sophomore year, and became roommates a year later. I knew I could always rely on him to keep me awake on school nights playing Fortnite or Super Smash Brothers. Scott has always been someone I can rely on to keep me grounded when things were tough, and I will always be grateful for his support.
Remy Gerew

Remy was originally assigned as my "little" at WMed, and I immediately forced her to be my friend because we are SO similar (maybe too similar). She is always available for a self care night, she is ours (and Oliver's) favorite dog sitter, and she helped Anthony pull off his proposal! She is going to do great things after medical school, and I am determined to be there to see it all.
Connor Harrell

Connor and I became friends in high school when we were on the football team and had lunch together every day. We have had a lot of fun memories, including watching infomercials about workout equipment after Nick ditched us to mow his lawn at 8 PM and playing Spikeball or basketball in the summer. One thing I know about Connor is that I can always rely on him to keep me level headed and help me do the right thing.
Ella Willford

I met Ella while I was in line to board a flight to India for a study abroad program, and I quickly learned that nothing brings people together like the stress of culture shock combined with school. From the moment we got back to when I moved away from Iowa City for my gap year, we were basically inseparable. We've been busy with life lately, but she is still one of my favorite people, and I am always looking forward to catching up with her!
Connor Placko
Groomsman
Placko is my most fun friend, and we have a lot of crazy memories together. We can go months without talking to each other, and when we do we pick up right where we left off. I'll never forget the time we went to a Karaoke bar and he convinced me to go up on stage and sing fergalicious with him (our song). We were easily the best performers of the night. Placko also has great taste because he named me as his funniest friend. There's never a dull moment when Placko and I are together, and he's always been one of my closest friends.
Piper Cramer

Piper and I met in medical school, and she has helped get me through 3rd year clerkships. She is the first person I text when I don't want to study alone, and we made a fabulous candy salad before our last exam. When we aren't studying (which is rare), she is introducing me to new movies, giving me book recommendations, and letting Oliver invade her personal space while we hang out. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and I am so excited she'll be part of our big day.
Brendon Ewing

Brendon and have been friends for a very long time. He is my most confident friend, and I always know that he will keep it real with me. I'll never forget the times we spent playing sports all summer, or playing video games all night long. My favorite memory of Brendon came in high school, when we were assigned a group project dedicated to the 1990's. Brendon dressed up like Justin Timberlake and we performed a killer remix of "Bye Bye Bye" to commemorate the fall of the Soviet Union. I can always count on Brendon to keep me in check, and he is one friend I am always excited to be around.
