Less than 10 minutes from the Hotel Sites, Red Rocks is a gorgeous place to escape the city noise. It's free to go and open to the public. You'll overlook the city and miles into the East. Sunrise there is absolutely stunning. During the day you can walk around the amphitheater or you can go on an easy hike on trails that surround it. I suggest the app Alltrails to scope them out. This is somewhere we like to take people when they visit us. It's one-of-a-kind, so take advantage while you're here.
This one's on the SouthWest corner of Denver, about 20 minutes from the Hotel Sites. Meow Wolf is a truly immersive exhibit that transports you into its colorful world as soon as you step through the doors. Tunnels behind a bookcase or in a washer/dryer take you to another world to explore. Denver's Meow Wolf is the most recently built exhibit of its kind and is great for kids and adults. Another Denver staple!
A special spot for us. We went on one of our first dates here, and I (Anthony) met Chance's sisters and mom for the first time here. Fun fact: we talked about having our wedding at this location! It's absolutely stunning with so many gardens/exhibits to explore. My personal favorites are the Romantic Gardens, June's PlantAsia garden and the Science Pyramid surrounded by water lilies. It's in Denver, so not the most accessible from the hotels, but worth the travel if you want to enjoy the beauty of nature within the city.
This trail is right next to the hotels. It's graded as an easy trail and is a 3-mile loop. The views are breathtaking! It's enjoyable in October, but be sure to bring a coat. The sun will hopefully be out, but the air will be cool. AllTrails (app or website) is the best bet to find conditions and more gorgeous pictures of red rocks, pathways, directions, etc.
