Flight
LAX is the biggest airport, is closest to the venue, and has plenty of flights to and from the entire country. If you want to skip rush hour traffic leaving the airport, avoid flights that land between 2 pm and 8 pm. Yes, we know. Traffic is terrible. Some stereotypes exist for a reason. Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is smaller and much less crowded, but it's harder to find a flight going in or out, and it's farther from the venue than LAX. Avoid Long Beach or John Wayne (Orange County) Airports if you can. There's nothing wrong with them, they're just too far away. You may look on a map and think that they're not. Trust us. They are.
Train
Would you like to take the train to the beach? Great! There's a light rail stop pretty close to the venue. Would you like to go literally anywhere else? Careful, Icarus.
House Or Rental
Don't feel like staying in a hotel? No problem! Los Angeles is full to the brim with AirBnBs. Seriously. We have too many. It's messing with our rent control.
Hotel
This is where Arie and Anthony, the Weinberg/ Levine's and the Pinggera's will be staying and is the only hotel at which we are holding a block of rooms. Our negotiated rate is $199/ night for a Standard King and $219/ night for a Standard with 2 Queens. Parking is available at the hotel for $35/ night. Please call, ask for Group Bookings, and mention the Levine/ Pinggera Wedding to secure our negotiated rate. A buffet breakfast will be included each day for two people per room from 7 AM to 11. The Orlando is located on West 3rd Street, which has lots of cute shops and restaurants and is walking distance from the recently renovated Beverly Center. It is also quite close to The Grove and Farmer's Market as well as LACMA (LA County Museum of Art). The hotel is 3 miles from the venue, but a straight shot south down La Cienega Blvd., so it's very easy to get to whether you've rented a car or are taking Lyft/ Uber (which we recommend!).
Hotel
This is the closest hotel to the venue (just 1.5 miles). Rooms are on the more expensive side (starting around $300), the hotel is small and elegant with an old Hollywood flair. The hotel has a fascinating history: the 1938 cast of "The Wizard of Oz," including all of the munchkins, stayed there while filming the movie! It is located on Culver Blvd., which has lots of nice restaurants, shops, and the Kirk Douglas Theatre (one of the theaters run by the company Arie works for!).
Travel Note
We don’t recommend renting a car if you are only coming in for the weekend. Although we will have valet parking at the ceremony, The Orlando (our recommended hotel) charges $35/ day to park. Instead we recommend using the ride share apps like Uber or Lyft (on your smartphone). Cars are plentiful, quite reasonably priced and can do airport pickup/ drop off. If you do need to rent a car after the wedding to continue your vacation, there are lots of accessible rental car places in town.
