Dressy Casual: tuxedoes and ball gowns are too fancy, sneakers and jeans aren't fancy enough. Other than that, you do you. Suits, blazers, dresses, slacks, blouses, nice shoes, and particularly excellent rompers would all be acceptable!
Probably nice. However, November is the month in which Los Angeles likes to cram in all of its seasons at once. That means it could be 95 and sunny, 65 and raining, or anywhere in between. Check the weather before you pack.
If your kids’ names are on the invitation, they are certainly invited. Please recognize that we only have room for a limited number of people at the venue and can’t accommodate as many as we might like to.
We're sure that you know some wonderful people, but so do we (yourself included), and our venue can only hold so many! Unfortunately we weren’t able to accommodate plus ones. Don't worry; if you're invited, so are some other people you know.
The venue has both indoor and outdoor areas, but the ceremony portion will be outdoors. The ceremony starts around sunset, so the temperature will be dropping as we go on. It's not going to be cold - it's Los Angeles, after all - but if you're the kind of person who gets chilly, bring a layer.
There will be plentiful beer and wine, and probably a specialty cocktail or two.
On a scale of 1 to 10 - 1 being Christmas dinner, and 10 being "Fiddler on the Roof" - we'd say it's about a 7. A rabbi will officiate, we'll stand under a chuppah, and later, we'll do the Hora. If this is your first Jewish wedding, don't worry! You don't have to do/ know anything special. We're just happy you're here to celebrate with us.
Nope! We're doing buffet style service, with options for people who are vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, or dedicated carnivores. If you have a restriction that we need to know about, note that on the RSVP.
There are lots of great hotel and lodging options around Los Angeles. Since it’s such a big area, we suggest staying in or near one of our recommended hotels, found on the Travel and Accommodations page. If the Orlando Hotel doesn’t fit your needs, there are a few other hotels nearby, including the Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel, a Sofitel and the Elan Hotel. In addition, AirBnBs are everywhere at many price points. If you’re looking to make this a beach vacation, Santa Monica is lovely and on the water, but is 7.5 miles from the venue and can take 30+ minutes to drive in traffic. Enjoy the ocean but stay at your own risk. Other areas with hotels that are a little further afield are Beverly Hills (4.5 miles from the venue) and Downtown (8 miles from the venue). Remember that LA traffic is just as bad as people say it is.
