We will not be having a traditional U.S. wedding but will host a celebration in New Jersey in Fall 2025 for those unable to attend our wedding in Poland. Details will be shared on this website.
From JFK or Newark Airport, the direct flight is roughly eight hours, with layovers adding at least another two hours.
We recommend flying out Thursday August 21st, to get to Warsaw by Friday morning. There are many sights to see, so flying out earlier to adjust to the time change and explore the city is a great idea.
General consensus for international flights is that you should look to book 3-6 months in advance. We plan on booking ours by the end of March.
No traditional visa is necessary to enter and stay in Poland for up to 90 days. The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) has again be pushed back and is not scheduled to begin until after the wedding. **Starting January 8th, 2025 if you are traveling through the UK you will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). The majority of routes to Poland do not layover in the UK. You will need this and ETIAS if you decide to go through the UK.
Yes, there is no age restriction on any of the events.
All events and the hotel are on the same grounds: Hotel Sielanka nad Pilicą Łąkowa 1 05-660 Warka, Poland The venue is roughly an hour from downtown Warsaw.
Transportation will be scheduled to bring people to the venue Friday at 4:00pm, if you plan to attend the welcome dinner and stay at the venue Friday night. If you choose to stay in Warsaw Friday night, rideshares (Uber, Bolt, etc.), taxis, and rental cars are available if you are arriving at the venue on the day of the wedding. All of the events on Saturday and Sunday are on the same grounds as the hotel, no transportation is necessary during the wedding. On Sunday, following the barbecue, we will be providing transportation back to Warsaw.
In Poland, the rules of the road are the same as in the U.S. You drive on the right side of the road and the steering wheel is on the left side. Google Maps and Apple Maps also work as they do in the U.S.
The public transportation system in Poland is modern and extremely well-connected. We recommend traveling by train from Warsaw to other Polish cities or European destinations. Some of our favorite places to visit are mentioned in the Exploring Poland page.
