We are so excited to welcome you to the breathtaking Tonnara di Scopello—our wedding venue and the heart of all festivities throughout the weekend. Nestled along Sicily’s northwest coast, this historic 13th-century tuna fishing village has been beautifully preserved and transformed into a coastal retreat. Its rustic charm, panoramic sea views, and cobblestone courtyards provide a magical backdrop for our celebration. For those who have accepted our limited invitations to stay on-site, please note that the Tonnara is composed of several small buildings and apartments. Each apartment features a mix of lodging accommodations, including private bedrooms, additional beds available within the apartment, and shared common areas. We’ve thoughtfully organized apartment assignments to ensure you’re housed with close friends or family for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is our priority to keep wedding party members and immediate family on-site to make the most of this special time together. The close proximity allows easy access to all scheduled events and offers opportunities to relax, explore, and connect with loved ones in between. In addition, all travelers should adhere to the most current TSA regulations and international travel guidelines. Flight
Flight Recommendations When arranging your travel to Sicily, we strongly recommend booking your arrival into Palermo Airport (PMO) whenever possible. Palermo is the closest major airport to our wedding venue, the Tonnara di Scopello, with a travel time of approximately 40 minutes by car. While Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) is another major entry point into Sicily, it is located on the eastern side of the island and requires a significantly longer journey—approximately three hours by car to reach the venue. Choosing Palermo as your arrival airport will provide a smoother, more convenient travel experience and allow you to begin your Sicilian getaway with ease. If you have questions about transportation from the airport to the venue, we’ll be happy to assist! We recommend you book directly through airlines and avoid third party websites (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.) to ensure smooth, streamlined travel. Transportation from Palermo Airport Several shuttle services operate between Palermo Airport (PMO) and the Tonnara di Scopello. Guests have the option to reserve transportation in advance or arrange for a shuttle upon arrival at the airport, depending on preference and availability. We recommend booking ahead of time for added convenience, especially during peak travel hours. If you need assistance coordinating transportation or would like shuttle service recommendations, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Transportation for Weekend Events For scheduled events, shuttle transportation will be provided by the couple for guests staying at the recommended hotel in Scopello. These shuttles are arranged to ensure a safe and timely arrival to the venue, as well as a convenient return following the festivities. Please note that shuttle service will only be available for scheduled events. The venue is easily accessible by a 15-minute walk from the town center or via rental car if preferred. This hotel has a very beautiful garden, a pool, its own restaurant and Bellevue Bar. If you’re able to arrange your stay at one of the three hotels recommended, it would be ideal, as all are within walking distance of the shuttle pick-up point for guest transfers to the venue for scheduled events. Otherwise, the hotels are within a 15-minute walking distance of the venue, offering a scenic stroll along the coast with beautiful seaside views and fresh coastal air.

What to Bring (and What to Leave Behind) To help make your travel to Sicily as smooth as possible, we’ve compiled key recommendations on what to pack—and what to avoid. If you can, we suggest traveling with a carry-on and/or a small checked bag for easy movement once in Italy. Recommended Items to Bring Medications & Health Essentials: Bring all necessary prescriptions (e.g., inhalers, insulin, heart meds, EpiPens, CPAP machines, antihistamines). Also pack frequently used over-the-counter meds like aspirin, Benadryl, and motion sickness aids. Be sure to check international travel rules for prescription compliance. Weekend Attire: Black-tie formalwear for the wedding day (in designated colors) Casual yet elevated clothing for the rest of the weekend Swimwear for beach and poolside activities Comfortable walking shoes or water shoes for excursions (and pebble beaches) Modest outfits for churches or historic sites (shoulders/knees covered) Note: some lodging may not provide irons or steamers.
