Our favorite (non-karaoke) bar. It's an open rooftop, so bring a jacket, but you'll be rewarded with views of downtown and Coors Field. All of the alcohol is exclusively local Colorado brews and spirits, so it's a great way to get to know some of our state's pride and joys!
Denver is bursting with craft breweries. This particular brewery near downtown is one of Anthony's favorites. They're unique in that they do not bottle- only cans, kegs and growlers here. Try the Princess Yum Yum or the Graham Cracker Porter!
This one is Ali's favorite. They make wines old style, on the skin, which results in a unique color and (get this) no sulfides! The best part, though? Free wine tastings of all of their 20+ wines. Plus it's family owned.
A menu so big and delicious you may starve to death just trying to decide what to eat. Seriously, there's 25 different breakfast burritos. They serve breakfast all day, milkshakes with local handmade ice cream, and some of the best green chile (a Colorado must).
An awesome natural history and science museum with an IMAX theatre, situated on City Park.
A cool spot to check out, with gorgeous geology and distant views of Denver. Come to hang out in the amphitheatre and enjoy the views, or tackle one of the hiking trails. Just make sure there's no concert going on or you'll be stuck in traffic until your flight leaves.
You can't come to Colorado and not spend time in the mountains. RMNP is a classic. You won't regret it.
We like board games, everyone knows that. This is a board game bar where for a $5 cover you can play any of their hundreds of games to your hearts content. They also serve small plates, sandwiches, drinks and milkshakes.
If you're feeling up for a day trip, Fort Collins offers college-town charm and is where Ali and Tony first met, had their first date, and got their first apartment. Old Town was part of the inspiration for Main Street Disney (something they're very proud of) and is full of shops, restaurants and bars. Social is an underground "speakeasy"-style cocktail bar, or Lucky Joe's has a barrel of free peanuts by the door. There's also Horsetooth Resevoir for a quick nature-fix and of course, the crown jewel, New Belgium Brewery. Book your free brewery tour well in advance to ensure you get a spot. For lunch, you really have no choice but to go to Cafe Mexicali and get a smothered burrito. Trust us on this one.
