Sorry, this is an adults-only soiree (21+). We want you to kick back and have a good time too, so if you plan to bring your kids along for the trip please let us know if you'd like our help finding a local babysitter in Denver.
Look, we'll be honest... as long as you don't show up in a white dress, you're probably fine. But on a more serious note, anywhere from business casual to semi-formal is appropriate. It's a party folks, we want you to look good, feel good, and most of all- be able to get down on the dance floor! Please keep in mind that the venue is a mountain setting, and the ceremony will be taking place outside.
October in Colorado can be unpredictable. It could blizzard, it could be 80+ degrees, or it could be a regular, crisp fall day. Our best advice is to check the weather regularly for Denver and Golden leading up to the trip and remember that the first rule of thumb in Colorado is to always bring layers.
If your invitation says "and Guest" yes, you can bring a +1. If not, we please ask that you bring just yourself.
Our wedding technically takes place in Golden. It is conveniently located right off of I-70, which makes either town a viable place to stay! If you plan to attend post-wedding karaoke or other city activities, we recommend booking your hotel in Denver. We have booked a block of rooms at the Towneplace Suites - more information can be found on the 'Travel' section of this website. If you plan to extend your trip and prefer to be in the mountains, Golden might be the choice for you.
Yes, we will be having an open bar with beer, wine and featured cocktails. You will not need to bring cash. However, Colorado state law requires events to be bartended by a TIIPS-certified bartender, who may require you to show ID before they serve you. Please come prepared if you plan to imbibe.
Hopefully this FAQ has answered some of the big ones. We will be happy to answer any other questions you may have, but the closer we get to the big day, the more we'll have on our plates. Please try reaching out to one of the mothers or members of the wedding party first. They can always ask us if they don't have the answer right away. We will post their contact information to our website once we get closer to the wedding so you know who to contact leading up to the event.
Our ceremony starts promptly at 4:30pm. We ask that you please try not to arrive earlier than 4pm in order to give us ample time for finishing touches.
