Our story began long before we even realized it. With family ties rooted in the same small town in East Tennessee, our paths were intertwined from the very beginning. We grew up attending the same church, the same camps, the same school, and even the same Fourth of July trips year after year. Though we shared so many of the same spaces growing up, life took us in different directions. Years later, while living in different states, we reconnected—and everything changed. How lucky are we that two childhood friends, who once shared quiet, childlike crushes on each other, were always meant to end up together? What felt familiar suddenly felt like home, and for the past two years have continued to feel that way. Growing up, Ansley often held close to the verse “Perhaps you were born for such a time as this.” It was a quiet reminder that God’s timing is always perfect, even when we don’t understand it. Now, looking back, we see how every moment, every shared experience, and every missed connection was leading us here. We were truly born for one another—for such a time as this.
