FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black Tie.

Question

OK, BUT WHAT DOES "BLACK TIE" MEAN?

Answer

Tuxedos, formal dark suits, floor-length gowns, elevated or sculptural silhouettes, or refined embellishments are all encouraged. Think timeless, tailored, and art-gallery chic. Just make sure to bring your dancing shoes!

Question

Where is everything happening?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will all take place at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Address: 1250 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC For more information about the museum, visit: https://nmwa.org/visit/plan-your-visit/

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The celebration will take place indoors within the museum.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

In true downtown DC fashion, parking is limited to street parking. We strongly recommend Uber or Lyft, the Metro, or a stroll from your hotel (if you are staying at one of the hotels where we have a room block).

Question

WHAT TIME DOES THE WEDDING START?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. It will be followed by a cocktail hour during which guests may explore the third-floor museum gallery. Guests will then be seated for dinner, followed by dancing!

Question

WILL THERE BE TIME TO TOUR THE MUSEUM?

Answer

Yes! Guests will have the opportunity to tour the museum after the ceremony and before dinner.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’re keeping this celebration adults-only with the exception of the children in the bridal party. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate together!
