Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

For our special day, we encourage our guests to embrace a fusion of Nigerian and American formal styles, reflecting our cultural heritage and the elegance of this celebration. Nigerian Attire: Guests who wish to wear traditional Nigerian attire are welcome to do so! Common choices for Nigerian wedding attire include Ankara prints, Aso Ebi (matching fabric chosen by the couple), or Gele (headwrap) for women and Agbada for men. Bold, colorful prints are celebrated, and it’s a chance to wear something unique and festive. American Formal Attire: For those who prefer a more Western formal style, we request cocktail dresses or evening gowns for women, and suits or tuxedos for men. Think elegant, sophisticated, and fitting for a formal wedding! Both Nigerian and American formal attire are welcome, and we're excited to see how our guests blend these two wonderful styles. Just remember: we want everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful while celebrating with us!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your little ones, but in order to create a more intimate and enjoyable atmosphere for all of our guests, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. We hope this allows everyone to relax, dance, and celebrate without any distractions! We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation for details about your RSVP. If your invitation includes a plus one, we’re happy to have them join us. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to us directly.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3 pm , so please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to ensure you have time to settle in and find your seat. We want everyone to be there to enjoy the full experience, from start to finish!

Question

Will there be accommodations nearby?

Answer

Yes! There are hotels close to the venue, and we’ve provided a list of recommended options on the website. Most of the weekend action will be in the Dallas Downtown area and not near the venue in Red Oak, TX. Due to the Texas/OU game hotels are extremely limited so be sure to book rooms ASAP!
