They reconnected in college when both ladies became involved in the University of Central Florida's collegiate acapella groups - and later members of the Orlando performance group Geekapella.

Eric has known Louis since Eric was in 5th grade. Louis campaigned for the role of class president, and Eric was a part of Louis's "prestigious" campaign team. They have been friends ever since, through middle school, high school, and weekend trips to Stern Hebrew High School. In 2011, Louis encouraged Eric to move to Florida where he eventually met Sydney.
