Nicole and Louis met in true blind date fashion, thanks to the insisting of Louis' soon to be sister in law, Irene and a few others organizing for this to happen. Nicole was hesitant to go and definitely not looking at the time, but also was in her Gabby Bernstein era of being open and saying "yes" to new opportunities (if you know you know). So in true Guido fashion where does anyone go to find a good Italian man in the Bronx? Gigante's, (in Westchester) obviously. Thankfully, Nicole's friend Lauren agreed to go to dinner prior, and then 'casually' meet up with Irene and friends for "drinks". In between the loud EDM music, Nicole and Lou started chatting and hit it off quickly. He didn't even get scared when she got straight to the point and asked him if he had a 401K and what his credit score was, and actually showed her (her score was better at the time). Before leaving Gigante's he asked for a kiss (straight to the point), and the rest was history. In true Bronx fashion, they ended the night at Brewski's making out in the corner for the first and LAST time. By their 4th date they were joking about their favorite wedding songs and what they would choose for their own weddings, (not to each other because that would be aggressive, it was the 4th date, people). Nicole coerced Lou to "ask her out" in early September by having a friend of his ask him if they were official (Thank you Alexis lol) and his response was "What are we 13? I'm too old to ask this, of course you're my girlfriend". To which she responded "So when is our date?" and he said instantly, "March 19th" without missing a beat. The 19th is our number, not when we are playing roulette, it barely comes out! But in all seriousness, we are really excited to make it all come full circle 4 years later. We can't wait to see you all on September 19th of 2026 at Jericho Terrace for our ceremony and reception. In true Italian fashion -- there will be a lot of people, a lot of food, a lot of dancing and most importantly, a lot of love <3
