Matron of Honor
My baby sister. My one and only sibling. My very best friend. I can't imagine taking the biggest walk of my life without her by my side. I'm so thankful to have her as my Matron of Honor as she is the one responsible for introducing me and Ken!
Best Man
Kevin and I met the first day of "Kennygarden" (Kindergarten) at Garfield Elementary School. We later split up when Mrs. Butler decided who would be in the morning and afternoon classes. We reunited in Mrs. Johnson first grade class and have been inseparable since. We followed each other to middle school, high school and became roommates throughout our college days at Michigan State University. After 30 years of friendship I couldn't think of a better person to stand next to me as my best man.

Danielle and I have been best friends since our freshman year at the University of Michigan when she moved into my and Cori's dorm room (uninvited, I might add lol). She's my role model as an engineer, wife, mother and friend.

I met Nick officially in High School when he transferred from Carman Ainsworth to "THE Flint Northern High School" Since I was a football legend and Nick was a basketball star, it was inevitable that we would become friends. We later became suitemates at Michigan State University and our brotherhood continued to build after that. While our friends took the trip back to Flint every weekend, Nick and I stuck around and experienced a lot together. As time went on, we quickly went from friends to brothers. He's my motivator, prayer partner, workout partner and most importantly my family.

While Cori is technically my cousin, we've literally been raised like sisters. The daughter of my mom's twin sister, we were born just 8 months apart and have experienced every phase of life together. There's never been a milestone moment in my life that Cori has missed, and I'm eternally grateful that my wedding day won't be any different.

I met Adrian at Whittier Middle School (He was class 8-C though LOL) After 8th grade he went to Carman Ainsworth and I went to Flint Northern for high school. I would see him around, especially when I became an Alpha Esquire and he was a Gamma Delta Kudos member. After completing high school we met back up on the campus of Michigan State University and later became roommates in college and again as we started our professional careers. Even after moving to DC we continued to build our friendship and it grew stronger when he moved back to Michigan. I'm happy Adrian agreed to stand next to me on this important day.

My cousin Arie with the beautiful smile! I'm blessed to have Ariel as my cousin, but I count myself fortunate to say she's also my friend. If there's one thing I know for sure, my cousin Arie has my back and always looks out for my best interest! I'm so glad she said "yes" to being there for us on our special day!

If you ask me I don't know the exact day DJ and I met. I just know he was my friend because he's my best friends cousin. Little did I know we would soon become Julio and Ramundo (Tight light that) We were teammates on our Varsity football team and then my senior year I joined the track team because DJ made me. He was our alternate roommate at MSU and we became official roommates when I moved on Winona. Dj and I have been through it all, his family is my family, his son is my nephew and we will always be brothers. Choosing him to be in my wedding party was a no brainer.

For the past 20+ years, my and Kenya's relationship has transcended that of friends to truly being family. I could not love Kenya any more if she were blood related to me. I truly believe that my and Ken's relationship is in part a manifestation of this woman's continued prayers throughout the years. We love you Kenya!

DOC! Omari and I met in middle school when he saw the light and left McKinley to come over to Whittier. From the very first day I met Omari I knew he would become a doctor...because he said "Bro I'm going to be a doctor" He kicked it with us at Flint Northern for a little before Grand Blanc called his number. Omari continued to keep in contact, and would pick Kevin and I up in the Escalade occasionally. From undergrad in KZoo to medical school at Howard and residency in Boston, I could always count on him to pick up the phone. I'm blessed to have Omari in my life, and I hope asking him to be in my wedding will show him how important he is to me.
