What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive at 2:30pm for a welcome drink. The ceremony will start at 3:00pm sharp at 150 Oxen Pond Road.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Garden party attire! Ties are totally optional - the venue is a very casual farm run by a non-profit foundation. Note: choose shoes wisely - the venue is mainly grass and on an incline in places. Newfoundland evenings tend to be cooler so jackets or shawls are encouraged! This is mainly an outdoor venue, so dress appropriately if rain is forecasted.

When should I RSVP by?

We ask that you please RSVP by May 1, 2025. Should you need longer than this for any reason, please reach out to the bride and groom. Please note, for some of the bride and groom's closest friends and family visiting from out of town, there will be more than one event to RSVP to.

Are kids welcome at the wedding?
Answer
Due to capacity restrictions, only the children of immediate family members (siblings and cousins of the bride and groom are invited). If this is an issue for those travelling, please reach out to the bride and groom and they will assess on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring a guest?
Answer
Any plus ones that have been included will show up when you go to RSVP so please respond accordingly. If you are looking to bring someone outside of those included for in the RSVP invitation, please reach out to the bride and groom to confirm capacity.

Where should I park at the wedding venue?
Answer
Parking at the venue is extremely limited. We ask that you cab or Uber if possible. There will be a small lot on site for those that do require parking.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?
Answer
Transportation to the venue will not be provided. We recommend getting dropped off by cab or Uber. For those energetic enough to join the bride and groom for an after-party on George Street, buses will arrive at 11:00pm sharp to transport guests downtown. We will also ask the bus to stop at one or two key locations (Churchill Square and downtown hotel area) for those calling it a night along the way.

Is it okay to take photos and videos throughout the day?
Answer
Yes! Photos and videos are encouraged. There will be an app set up where you can scan a QR code and share your snaps with the bride, groom, and other guests and there will also be physical cameras laid out that we encourage you to use. If there are any moments that the bride and groom would prefer no cameras, they will be sure to communicate it to guests.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Both! The venue is predominantly outdoors, with a few structures on site, two of which are fully indoor and one that is semi indoor/outdoor. There will be tents set up as well to help deal with the sun or rain. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather and please dress appropriately for the elements (and soft terrain)!

What is the weather like in St. John's at that time of year ?
Answer
July is *typically* the nicest month in Newfoundland, however, if you know anything about Newfoundland, it is that the weather is anything but predictable. It's not uncommon for Newfoundlanders to see multiple seasons in one day. Please keep this in mind when packing for the trip. Layers are encourage for both wedding day and the rest of your travels!

What are the best transportation options in St. John's?
Answer
For those travelling from out of town we do recommend renting a vehicle if you plan to explore the city or other areas of the island. Please note: rental vehicles book up exceptionally fast so we recommend booking right away! Hot tip: Turo is also available in NL. Other recommended transportation options include Uber, Jiffy Cabs, Bugden's Taxi, or Newfound Cabs. Do you recommend travelling around Newfoundland?

YES! There's so much to see and do on the island. If you want personalized recommendations, please reach out to the bride or groom. And be sure to save this list of recommendations across the island created for the ultimate quick-reference guide, created by the bride herself. If you're travelling from out of province we recommend reserving rental cars ASAP as there is a shortage and they can often run out. Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
For those travelling in from afar that have never been to Newfoundland, there will be other events scheduled. Keep an eye out for communication regarding these or reach out to the bride and groom. For those that haven't explored NL before, the bride and groom will be spending the week post-wedding on the Bonavista Peninsula with friends and recommend others do as well!
