Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for everyone to dress in cocktail attire (i.e. suits, dresses, jumpsuits)!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Plan on arriving between 4:00 and 4:15. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately we won't be able to have kids at our wedding. Let us know if you need babysitter recommendations!

Are the ceremony and reception in the same venue?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony, reception, and after party are all at Colvin House.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes. While we encourage everyone to be safe and not to drive after drinking, there are parking options around the venue. There is free street parking (always double-check the signs) on: Glenlake Ave. (one block north) Kenmore Ave. (one block west) Ardmore Ave. (one block south) Paid street parking will be cheaper than a garage. Paid street parking can be found: 2 blocks west on Thorndale Ave. Along Broadway Malibu Condominiums, up the street from our venue, offers valet parking as well.

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

We don't have any group transportation planned as we are not providing a central hotel block. Instead, we encourage everyone to use our beloved CTA for transportation! Train Our venue is 4-minute walk east of the Thorndale Red Line stop. Bus If you want to make Jason proud, there are a variety of buses you can take, depending on where you are staying. Coming from the Loop, the best option would be to take any Howard-bound #147, which you can catch along State Street or Michigan Avenue and take to "Sheridan/Thorndale". Other options from the Loop include the #151 and the #36. Jason recommends you use CTA's Bus Tracker website (ctabustracker.com) for the most accurate real-time arrival information. Please share a photo of you on the bus if you end up taking one!

Will we be outside? What should we expect for weather?

Answer

Our cocktail hour is outside, and everything else is indoors. Short answer, expect anything for weather. September in Chicago has lows in the 50s. Our first date at the apple orchard was the last weekend of September in 2022, and we had to cancel because it was going to be 100 degrees. Good luck!

Will Fullerton be attending?

Sadly, Fullerton is not invited, as she is still being punished for eating Annika's first loaf of bread.
