Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)

This is the best airport to fly into. It is easy to get a rental, taxi, ride app service, or shuttle from here. The airport operates 24 hours a day and Security is open from 4:00am until the last flight departs. When departing it is recommended to arrive 2 hours before your scheduled departure for domestic flights.

MSY Consolidated Car Rental Center

Nine rental car companies operate at the airport 24/7. You can connect to the Rental Car Center using the MSY Rental Car Lot Shuttle in front of the Long Term Parking Garage. The shuttle takes approximately 15-20 minutes to drive from the terminal to the rental car facility. Please be aware that parking in and around the french quarter is very difficult and most accommodations will charge a parking fee.

Airport Transportation

Taxis pick up passengers in a taxi loading zone on the Arrivals Curb, Level 1 Baggage Claim Door 7. Rides cost $36.00 from the airport to the French Quarter for up to two. For three or more, the fare is $15.00 per passenger. Ride app services pick up passengers outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim on the middle curb. Courtesy shuttles for hotels are located in the Ground Transportation Center, outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim Doors 1 through 5. Airport Shuttle is available to hotels and other locations in New Orleans for $24.00 per person one-way or $44.00 per person round-trip. Purchase tickets at the ticket booth, Level 1 Baggage Claim between Doors 3 and 4, or visit www.airportshuttleneworleans.com.
