We’re so excited to gather with our closest family and friends for an intimate rehearsal dinner before the big day. Join us for a beautiful evening of great food, laughter, and celebration as we kick off the wedding festivities. We can’t wait to celebrate together 🤍

Ceremony

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Traditional attire is warmly encouraged. Guests are welcome to wear cultural outfits or elegant formal wear. If you would like to wear traditional Rwandan attire and need assistance, please let us know we will happily provide traditional outfits for those who need them.

With full hearts, we celebrate our Gusaba no Gukwa a sacred and beautiful Rwandan traditional wedding ceremony where two families become one. For our non-Rwandan guests, Gusaba is the moment the groom’s family formally asks for the bride’s hand in marriage. Gukwa is when the bride is lovingly and officially given in marriage according to tradition. It is a ceremony rich in symbolism, respect, joy, and deep cultural meaning. This day honours our heritage, our families, and the journey that has brought us here. Sharing this powerful and emotional moment with you makes it even more special. We cannot wait to celebrate this unforgettable day together 🤍✨

Wedding

Black Tie: Tuxedos, bow ties, floor-length gowns, glam we’re going all out. This is your moment to dress like you’re attending a red carpet (because you basically are 😉).

This is it. The main event. The “I do” we’ve been waiting for ✨ We’re heading to beautiful Kibuye to seal our forever at Rushel Kivu because if we’re doing this, we’re doing it properly. Expect stunning views, happy tears, big smiles, and a dance floor that absolutely understands the assignment. After honouring our traditions, this is where we officially become husband and wife romantically, joyfully, and in true celebration style. Having you there means everything to us.
