Leadership camp, ok? That's where we met - let's get that out of the way lol. Somewhere between climbing boulders and playing Russian card games, we both developed a crush. Vedant finally acted on said crush in May 2019, when he asked me out on a Central Park date. We sat on yet another boulder (boulders seem to be a theme in our relationship?) and talked for hours. And then to my delight, the talking never stopped! It continued at Rutgers, in Austin, New York, Cancun, and hopefully everywhere else in the world as we build our lives together. Vedant has become my best friend in the whole world. He is a comedian, music buddy, confidant, coding genius, and the truest PARTNER of all time. I'm grateful af. Thanks Camp Uknight <3
It all started on a summer night at leadership camp. Annie told everyone to gather in a circle and learn how to play a Russian card game. I honestly had no idea how to play, but I had to pretend so she would be impressed - I thought she was so cool. I didn’t have the courage to ask for her number directly, so I tried to find her on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat etc, but in true Annie fashion, I could only find her on LinkedIn. Fast forward 2 years - I see Annie on a close friend’s snapchat post, chugging vodka straight from the bottle. I begged them to pass along my number and the rest was history. From our first date to Central Park to our long distance trials in Austin, to our proposal on the East River, Annie has been the best thing to happen to me. Now, we’re getting married and its all because of one thing - leadership camp.
