Question

RSVP & Attendance

Answer

When is the RSVP deadline? Since this is a destination wedding, we're trying to gauge headcount sooner rather than later. Please RSVP by March 1st, 2026 so that we can finalize accommodations and plans. How do I RSVP? You can RSVP directly on our wedding website under the 'RSVP' tab. Can I bring a plus one? If your invitation includes a guest, you'll see that option when you RSVP. Are children invited? We love your little ones, but these celebrations will be adults-only. If you plan to travel with your kids, we kindly request arrangements for childcare so that you may relax and enjoy these evenings with us! What should I do if my plans change? Please update your RSVP or reach out to us as soon as possible so that we can adjust room and meal arrangements.

Question

Venue & Logistics

Answer

Is the ceremony indoor or outdoors? All parts of the events are planned to be held outdoors, weather permitting. The average temperature in June in the region is highs in the 80s during the day, and a low of 59 degrees at night. Is there parking available? Yes, there is on-site parking at the venue for guests if needed. Will there be transportation or shuttles provided? Because everything takes place onsite at Il Castello di San Ruffino, no transportation is needed once you arrive.

Question

Dress Code

Answer

What is the dress code? Welcome Party Dressy Casual - We suggest ladies wear a sundress or lightweight separates and men wear a light dress shirt with khakis or other lightweight slacks. Wedding Semi Formal Attire or Garden Party Formal - think summery, colorful midi or maxi dresses for women and suits with optional ties for men. What kind of shoes are best for the venue? We'll be on grass and gravel, so block heels or flats are recommended.

Question

Travel & Accomodation

Answer

Which airport should I fly into? The closest airport is Pisa International Airport (PSA) about 30 minutes from the venue. Florence Airport (FLR) is another great option, about one hour away. Where should I stay? We have reserved all rooms at Il Castello di San Ruffino for our guests. Once RSVPs are received, we'll send links to book your room. What's the cost of staying onsite? Rooms range from €120-€200 per night. A breakfast buffet is available for €19 per person per day as well as lunch for purchase. What's the best way to get around? We recommend booking a taxi from the airport to the venue or you may also drive directly to the location if you're already renting a car in Italy. Once you're at the venue, everything will be onsite and walkable.

Question

Schedule & Activities

Answer

What time should I arrive for the ceremony? Please plan to arrive to the terrace early and be seated before 5:30 PM so that we can get our evening started right at 5:30! When should I expect the day to end? The ceremony will be followed by apertivo, dinner and then dancing late into the evening.

Question

Question

European Travel Tips

Answer

Check Your Passport Expiration! And check it early!! Many countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months after your trip ends. Airlines can refuse boarding if it's not - so double check now! International Driving Permit (IDP) If you plan to drive in Italy, you'll need an IDP in addition to your U.S. driver's license. You can get one easily through AAA—it’s inexpensive and valid for a year. Travel Documents Print copies of your passport, tickets and confirmations. Save digital copies to your phone too so you're not stuck if wifi isn't available. Cash on Hand You can take out euros and/or any other cash you need from your bank or AAA office at home. Credit cards are accepted most places and most credit cards have no foreign transaction fees. Amex & Discover are hit or miss. Phone Service Most carriers have an international plan thats about $10/day for data usage, which includes iMessage & FaceTime. If you're traveling with someone else and choose to, you can keep one phone on Airplane Mode and just connect to wifi as you go. Adapters & Power Converters Italy uses Type C, F, and L plugs and the standard voltage is 230V. You’ll need a European plug adapter (not the UK one! & make sure to check for any other countries you may be traveling to). Most modern electronics like phones and laptops can handle the voltage, but double-check if you're bringing a hair dryer or curling iron - they might require a voltage converters too. Pack Light Many Italian streets are cobblestone, and historic buildings often don’t have elevators. You may need to carry your bag up stairs or across uneven streets so take that as you will! For any churches you may be visiting, bring something to cover your shoulders and knees. And plan to get your steps in - comfortable walking shoes that still look nice go a long way! Planning Ahead - Many popular restaurants & sights (Colosseum, Vatican, etc) book out in advance.
