Annie and Pat’s story started way back at age five, when they unknowingly played pee wee soccer together (photo evidence only surfaced after they got engaged). Years later, in high school, their paths crossed again when Pat played soccer with Annie’s younger brother. Pat quickly became a family friend, and the two stayed close through college and beyond. In 2018, they both landed in Brooklyn, where a “just friends” cooking class sparked something more. Nearly six years later, Pat proposed in sunny Newport Beach, California under the guise of making an Amazing Race audition tape, a nod to their shared love of travel, adventure, and a little friendly competition.
