Travel Information for Out of Town Guests

Shuttle service will be provided between the wedding venue at the Allerton Park and Retreat Center in Monticello, IL, and the Hampton Inn & Suites and the Hawthorne Inn and Suites in nearby Mt. Zion, IL, where the hotel blocks are located. Decatur has a small airport, which typically has 2 flights a day from Chicago O'Hare. A hotel shuttle service will pick up guests from the airport, and an Avis is close by for car rentals. Guest may find it more convenient to fly into nearby local airports in Champaign, IL, Bloomington, IL, or Springfield, IL, which typically have more flights on a daily basis with car rental services available. There are also numerous hotel options in Decatur, IL and Champagne, IL, which are both 30 minutes from the venue. The closest major airports are in Chicago (3hrs away from hotel block in Decatur), St. Louis (2hrs away), and Indianapolis (3 hrs away). A Note on Uber

Uber and Lyft cannot be relied upon in Decatur. While a shuttle will be provided to and from the Decatur airport as well as to and from the wedding venue, a rental car will be needed for additional travel.
