Fun Things To Do

We're excited to share a few of our favorite places to visit and things to do in the area!

Magnolia Silos

601 Webster Ave, Waco, Texas

We know a lot of you are excited about making a trip to the Magnolia Silos while in town, and we have good news for you! The Magnolia event, Spring at the Silos, is the weekend of our wedding! Please visit the beautiful space and enjoy a cupcake for me :)

Spice Village

213 Mary Ave, Waco, TX 76701

This is a fun shopping center with a lot of different "open-style" boutiques. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Baylor University

1301 South University Parks Drive, Waco, TX 76706
, (800) 229-5678

As most of you know, the two of us met at Baylor! It is a beautiful campus and definitely worth walking around! You should swing by the beautiful fountain and real life bears!

Cameron Park

Cameron Park Drive, Waco, TX

Cameron Park is one of the most beautiful parts of Waco - this is actually where we got engaged! This park is full of hills, hikes, and great running trails. I highly recommend visiting the park if you are looking for some fresh air!

Balcones Distillery

225 South 11th Street, Waco, TX 76701
, (254) 755-6003

This is a whiskey distillery, right here in Waco. They have distillery tours and a wonderful tasting room that is open from 1-10pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!

Harp Design Co.

808 North 15th Street, Waco, TX 76707
, (254) 230-2054

I know many of you watch Fixer Upper, so you know that Clint Harp is the carpenter on the show! He has his own company and retail store, right next to his home that was featured on the show. I (Annie) also worked for him for a year after Baylor as his Director of Accounting. Definitely check it out!

Eats!

Schmaltz’s Sandwich Shop - Hole in the wall restaurant with amazing sandwiches! Think Schlotzsky’s but WAY better. Vitek’s - This is good Texas BBQ and they are known for their “Gut Pack”. A great place for larger groups! Milo - This place is fairly new to Waco! It is trendy and cool, with really interesting but amazing food and cocktails! Magnolia Table - We have yet to go here, but I assume it is amazing! You can check the wait time online, so be sure to do that before you head that way! George’s - An amazing Waco staple known for their chicken fried steak and Big O’s. You will eat it at some point this weekend :) Torchy’s - Amazing tacos, queso and guacamole! If you aren’t from Texas, you should definitely check it out. It’s my (Annie) mom’s favorite! Baris - Is you’re looking to carb load for dancing at our wedding, you must try Baris! Another hole in the wall Waco staple with amazing Italian. Get the pink tortellini! Others - Health Camp, Kitoks, Papa Rollos, Cups...

Sweet Treats!

Bittersweet Cookies - Y’ALL these cookies are truly to die for. You must try if you can. Check her Instagram for her hours- she sells to sell out! Katie’s Custard - Amazing custard right off of 35! Pokeyo’s - We visited this ice cream cookie sandwich truck many times throughout our time in Waco. Very yummy! Heritage Creamery - This place is right next to the coffee shop, Common Grounds. All of their ingredients are local and the waffle cone is amazing! Silos Baking Co. - I have to say that I think these are some of the best cupcakes ever. I (Annie) worked there in college and would always take a bite of every “mess up” cupcake. All of that to say, I’m an expert in these cupcakes- I highly recommend the strawberry and Silobration cupcakes. All of the other pastries are amazing too!

Coffee Shops

Common Grounds - Hip, young coffee shop right next to campus. It is a Waco/Baylor staple and has great vibes. Pinewood - Coffee shop on the edge of a beautiful Waco neighborhood. They have my favorite coffee in Waco and attract the young adult crowd. Dichotomy - Coffee shop in the heart of downtown Waco. I would say this coffee is a little more fancy, but I owe it to them... this place kept me alive during the CPA. Magnolia Press - Magnolia does it again! I haven't tried the coffee yet because it just opened, but I'm sure it is great!

For all the days along the way
