Answer

Here are some great places to look, happy shopping! Kalki Fashion, Aza Fashions, Kynah, Pernia's Pop-up Shop, Holichic by Megha, CBazaar, House of Indya, Lashkaraa You can also find a ton of outfits on Etsy and Amazon - just make sure to read the reviews!

Question

What should I wear to each event?

Answer

Wear whatever you'd like! Most of Annie's family and friends are planning to wear traditional Indian attire, but feel free to switch it up for each event. If you'd like to wear Indian attire for one event, Friday night is most ideal. Most people will have a different outfit for each event, so a total of 3 different outfits! Some popular Indian styles to search for are Saree, Lehenga and Salwar Kameez. A jumpsuit, long dress or Salwar Kameez is recommended for the ceremony as you will be sitting on the floor.

Question

Are there any colors to avoid wearing?

Answer

Short answer is no. Annie will be in red for the ceremony and ivory for the reception. Colorful outfits are encouraged!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony on Saturday?

Answer

Please try to arrive at 9am, there will be breakfast and tea waiting for you! The Baraat will start around 10am.

Question

What is the weather like in March?

Answer

The temperature is very moderate during this time, typically it's sunny and warm during the day and cool at night. Long sleeves or light jackets are recommended for nighttime festivities! There will be coat racks available for Saturday evening.

Question

Are the venues indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both events are indoor/outdoor, all seated events for the ceremony and reception will be indoors with the cocktail hour and breakfast/lunch taking place outdoors.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

All of the meals served will be traditional Indian foods, there will also be some non-Indian food options for dinner on Friday & Saturday. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available.

Question

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

Due to the size, guests are limited to the names on the invitations. That said, please text or email us with any questions!

Question

Is there a break between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will end around 12pm with a quick lunch after, so you will have around 1pm - 6pm to do whatever you'd like! Feel free to explore Charleston or rest up for another night of partying. See the next FAQ for things to do!
