We love your children — we really do — but we want our wedding reception to be your night off! Let us know if you need assistance finding babysitters to help make that a reality.
Yes, even though our reception is adults only, children are welcome to attend our church ceremony.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, you may bring a date. If not, we would prefer if it was just you because we know you’ll meet other great people at our wedding.
Yes! There'll be heavy hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail reception, followed by a delicious dinner, and, of course, finished off with a variety of yummy desserts!
You have a choice of the following entrees, which are all delicious: (1) Barolo Braised Short Ribs served with mascarpone polenta, ruby chard, and cauliflower; (2) Crispy Brick Chicken served with roasted potatoes, red pepper romesco, watercress, and roasted vine tomatoes; and (3) Moroccan Roasted Cauliflower, which is both vegan and gluten-free, served with pickled cabbage, golden raisin quinoa, lemon tahini vinaigrette, saba, and cilantro. Please make your entrée selection on the response card enclosed with your invitation and return it to us, or make it on the RSVP page of this website.
Please make sure to flag this on your response card, and also feel free to email us so we can make a note of it.
Yes! You will have your choice of red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, Southern Tier's Pumking (our favorite pumpkin beer), Yards Pale Ale, Yards Brawler, Dark n' Stormy (Annie's signature drink), blood orange margarita (Greg's signature drink), assorted soft drinks, and assorted juices.
Check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need.
Since hotels, church and reception venue are located close together, everything is within walking distance or a quick taxi/Uber/Lyft ride away. Therefore, we are not providing transportation to/from the ceremony or to/from the reception.
For the ceremony, you should feel free to dress in comfortable, "church appropriate" attire — we’ll obviously be wearing our “wedding best,” but you should not feel obligated to do the same. For the reception, we encourage you to wear formal attire (e.g., for him - a tuxedo or dark suit and tie; for her - long evening dress, dressy suit or fun cocktail dress.) That said, your presence, not what you wear, matters the most to us so don’t stress about it too much. Please also keep in mind that we'll have a phenomenal band, so wear or bring some comfy shoes for dancing!
Yes! Please use #Team1903
Yes! In fact, we specifically extended our cocktail reception to two hours so that everyone has time to enjoy the galleries if they would like to do so.
We have gift registries with Zola, Amazon, Little House Shop, Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, and Pottery Barn, which are all accessible on the Registry page. There are links to each of these six registries at the top and bottom of the Registry page.
Since we will be a little preoccupied on our wedding day, we suggest that you contact our wedding coordinator, Jaclyn of Two Little Birds Planning. Jaclyn is the best and she can help address any wedding day emergencies.
In the Fall of 2015, after much insistence by her mother, Annie finally signed up for Match.com. As luck would have it, on Annie’s birthday (November 12, 2015), she received a message from Greg, a handsome, marathon runner (which really interested Annie since she had recently completed her first half marathon), whose Match.com profile promised lots of fun social events, running races, and “adventures beyond the city (get your passport ready)”! After exchanging a few messages, they agreed to meet at the now-shuttered restaurant, Petruce. Things escalated quickly - by the third date, Annie & Greg agreed to take down their Match.com profiles because they both felt that they had found their match. As anyone who follows them on social media knows, Greg has fulfilled his Match.com profile promise to provide lots of fun outings with friends, running races (including Annie’s first full marathons), and international travel.
Annie loves Advent calendars and really wanted one filled with mini-bottles of wine, but she could not find one (yes, she knows that ALDI stores had them, but they were all sold out). Greg surprised her by making a wine-filled Advent calendar for her. Unbeknownst to Annie, Greg put an engagement ring in her mother’s engagement ring box and then hid it in that Advent calendar. On December 18, 2018, after coming home from a fun dinner with a friend, Annie was shocked when she opened Day 18 of the Advent calendar, found the ring, and Greg proposed!
We are going to wait to take our honeymoon until the winter, so we can fully enjoy our wedding weekend and then recover from it before we leave on our honeymoon. If you have any honeymoon recommendations, please share them with us.
We wanted it to reflect both of us so we had the artist sketch Annie’s sailboat sailing underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge, which Greg runs over every day.
Our very talented friend, Brielle Weinstein, designed our wedding monogram. The letters are styled to look like the decorative metal pieces that you will see on the walls of the Barnes' galleries.
