Meet the Wedding Party

Get to know the "I Do" crew - the friends in our wedding party!

Alexandra Dremonas

Maid of Honor

Alex and Annie first met in high school on the cross country team and they quickly became best friends, bonding over their shared love for Hozier, ABBA and rom-coms. After so many years of being best friends, they can still be found laughing over memes and Schitt's Creek episodes. Alex has also been friends with Grant since elementary school (awkward phase and all). Alex is so grateful to have two incredible friends in her life who have found each other. They all have been part of each other's best memories, and Alex can't wait to stand by their side on such an important day in their lives!

Jonathon (Gio) Gianakos

Best Man

Gio first met Grant playing baseball where the power couple led their 2nd grade Cardinals team to the title. It was a duo that made Beyonce and Jay-Z seem like yesterday's news. The long distance from Carmel Middle School to Clay Middle School didn't separate them long as they reunited at Carmel High School. They were inseparable, ready to take on the world and ride off into the sunset....or so Gio thought. Annie quickly swept Grant off his feet. Gio should've noticed it when his pictures were taken down and replaced with her or the days Grant wouldn’t text back while he was visiting Annie at Indiana University. The new couple "Grannie" had arrived. All jokes aside, 7 years later Gio is excited to stand beside them at the altar, and he couldn't be happier for these two!

Jackie Holland

Bridesmaid

Jackie met Annie way back as freshmen in high school. They became closer every year after that. Eventually, they were spending every weekend together with their loyal, crazy and fun friends (who are all in the wedding party). They are usually giving each other life advice, gossiping or cracking up watching TikTok's. They both share a love for food and a delicious cocktail. Jackie can always count on Annie to be there for her in life. You can find Jackie tearing up at the ceremony and then singing "Dancing Queen" at the top of her lungs on the dance floor.

Ryan Geary

Groomsman

Ryan and Grant became close friends during their freshmen year at Miami University, where they underwent the shared ordeal of surviving (and ultimately thriving) within the fabled Havighurst Hall. Getting lost in Oxford, baking rum ham, and challenging each other to midnight ices are examples of experiences which forged the strong bond between these two over the course of college and beyond. Ryan is proud and excited beyond words to finally see "Grannie" tie the knot!

Samantha Cunningham

Bridesmaid

Samantha and Annie became friends as college roommates four years ago. Through that time they battled a drunk man breaking in and falling asleep on their couch (thinking it was his home), tackled a mild fire in the microwave (thanks to Chick-fil-A foil wrappers), Samantha filled the freezer with frozen meals while Annie *attempted* to cook fresh food, and many other adventures along the way! The story continues with Grant and Samantha playing many rounds of Game Pigeon on their phones and taking shots at parties when no one else will. Samantha and her family have so much love and excitement for Grant and Annie’s happily ever after!!

Austin Roberts

Groomsman

"Grant and I first met on the (second) best day of Grant's life: the day I was born! We've always had a competitive relationship, with few too many fights being started by me and ended by Grant. However, Grant has always been incredibly supportive of me, and even took Annie to see my middle school play on their first date. If their relationship can survive awkward prepubescent middle school theatre, it can survive anything. I've grown close to Annie ever since, and it's been amazing to watch them grow as a couple throughout the years. They've always been the model of a beautiful and loving relationship, and it will be an honor to get to call Annie my sister-in-law. I wish nothing but the best for these two, and I do want to make sure that Grant remembers I will always be taller!"

Katelyn Davis

Bridesmaid

"I think the etiquette here is to write in the 3rd person, but I’m electively deciding to get up close and personal with hundreds of strangers. Annie, writing is one of your countless talents and the least I can do is write an embarrassing note for all of your guests to read. We’ve cleared out hostels across Europe and danced our way through Austria. Most of my favorite memories are attached to you! In all seriousness, Anna my Anna, what would I do without you. Your kindness, compassion and ability to be vulnerable while standing up for what you believe in is inspiring to say the least. Grant is about to marry a woman full of spirit, beauty and grace. This feels like the 'raise a glass' part of a toast and it's 5 o'clock somewhere, so raise a glass and get excited for this wedding!"

Mike Hong

Groomsman

"Grant and I first met at Miami University (of Ohio) our freshmen year. After bonding over falling out of a few trees at 2:00 AM, and a few nights that should have ended a lot sooner, we became very close. Grant loves a lot of things, such as the Colts and Skyline Chili (with extra cheese and crackers), but I learned very quickly how much he loves Annie. Even though Annie went to a different college and they were far apart, I could tell that she meant a ton to Grant. He had a white board in his dorm, with a countdown of how many days were left before he would see her on his next visit to IU. When I first met her with Grant, and I saw how they were together, I realized why their relationship has continued to last. I wish nothing but the best for this couple!"

Kennice Sawyer

Bridesmaid

This bridesmaid has known the beautiful bride since the plaid skirts and sweater vest days at Our Lady of Mount Carmel school. Childhood friends who’ve remained close into unpredictable and ever-changing adulthood, it is a relief that all of those late night sleepovers, two-hour phone calls (and more than one margarita night) dreaming about their futures have paid off! Kennice would describe Annie as the most loyal and constant friend with a dash of spice, and is so excited to celebrate her finding her true life partner who compliments all of her lovely characteristics!

Parker Robbins

Groomsman

Parker and Grant have been friends since they met through football their freshmen year of high school. While neither of them was all that good at football, they were able to bond over common interests like fantasy football and making fun of Weston. They, along with a few of the other groomsmen, spent the next several years getting together almost every weekend to watch sports and play Madden Franchise. So when Grant and Annie started dating, keeping up their strict schedule of guy-time became something that Annie (and other significant others in the wedding party) were not always thrilled about. Thankfully, Annie and Grant were able to overcome any shenanigans caused by Grant's group of friends (deliberate or otherwise) and are now the beautiful, loving couple that you see today!

Jackie Rizzi

Bridesmaid

Jackie and Annie's friendship began their senior year of college as roommates when Annie brought their house key to Jackie. They spent the year laughing on Thursday nights at Sports a few long islands in as well as supporting each other through stressful career changes. Annie has graciously let Jackie crash many nights on her couch in Indy after post-college reunions. Through late nights of resume revisions and pasta dinners, Jackie knew that Annie would be one of the most hardworking, successful and loving friends she would ever have!

Weston Gray

Groomsman

Like a flower, relationships rely on a combination of different factors to grow and prosper. And no relationship has blossomed into a more beautiful flower than that of Weston and Grant. They grew close in middle school and high school by being teammates on their football teams. They became even better friends bonding over long nights spent working through season after season in the franchise mode of Madden 10 on the PS2. Weston is very happy for Annie and Grant, and is excited for them to be taking the next step in their relationship.
