This is our local neighbourhood, where there are untold numbers of bakeries, cafes, restaurants, and cute shops, from thrift stores to Japanese knife shops. Clissold Park is right there, and our favourite coffee shop is Brewed. We'll post more places in London to explore as the date approaches. To stay in Mundesley (search postcode:NR11 8BE), properties are available on Airbnb.co.uk, https://www.vrbo.com, https://www.holidaycottages.co.uk and https://www.booking.com. There is also the Gunton Arms (https://www.theguntonarms.co.uk is about a 15-minute drive), and the neighbouring towns of Cromer and Sheringham are also lovely and between a 20-30 30-minute drive away. One can also stay in Norwich and get the train up to North Walsham (27 minutes) or drive (45 minutes). Please check transportation information before travel if you're taking public transport to ensure you can return on the days/times you prefer.
One of our favourite towns. Walk the pier and the seafront, play an arcade game or 10, and have an ice cream. Dip into the Grey Seal or Gangway for coffee. There are plenty of great places to eat, including one of the best fish and chip shops Cromer No1.
If you're visiting Norwich, it's a fantastic place for tea and cakes. They have gluten-free options and a branch in Aylsham, which is close to Mundesley.
Fancy blowing off steam on your way from London to Mundesly or on your way back? This place has all the smashing you could shake an aluminium pipe at. And Norwich is a great town with many restaurants, cafes, shops, and gaming arcades. It's the perfect emo-queer-culture-gaming town, and it has a castle and a TK Maxx!
Simply the best coffee in Norwich. We recommend their espresso tonic. We usually stop here on our way to Mundesley to break up the drive. Tip: Park in TKMaxx (Cathedral Retail Park, Barn Rd, Norwich NR2 4SZ) free for up to 2 hours, and it's a 10-minute walk to Strangers.
