Things To Do

Vermont is a beautiful state, especially in the Fall, with amazing food and breweries. If you can spend a little more time in the area, here are some of our favorite places!

Church Street

Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401

We love walking down this pedestrian-only street in the heart of downtown Burlington where many of our favorite local shops and restaurants are found.

Waterfront Park

20 Lake Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 865-7247

A beautiful park at the edge of Lake Champlain in Burlington with a nice boardwalk that transitions into one of Annie's favorite recreational paths for running/walking/biking

A Single Pebble

133 Bank Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 865-5200

THE BEST up-scale authentic chinese restaurant, one of our must-eats when we are in town with a killer Whistlepig manhattan. For (too) many dish recommendations, ask us!

Honey Road

156 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 497-2145

Another family favorite, this restaurant is a tapas-take on Middle Eastern food. Must try the tahini sundae!

Citizen Cider

316 Pine Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 448-3278

Our favorite cider brewery also has delicious food and a fun atmosphere. Make sure to try their signature Dirty Mayor and Unified press, as well as their limited batch flavors!

Ben & Jerry's Factory

Waterbury Village Historic District, VT 05676

You can't come to VT without taking the Ben & Jerry's factory tour!

The Alchemist Stowe

100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, VT 05672
, (802) 882-8165

VT's most popular beer, Heady Topper, is brewed in this beautiful location

Camels Hump Hike

Camels Hump Road, Duxbury, VT 05676

One of Annie's (and the general public's) favorite hiking trails in VT. It is a more intermediate, 6 mile hike with 360 views at the top. It will be very chilly at the top at that time of year, so layer up!

Shelburne Museum

Shelburne Museum, Shelburne, VT 05482

Shelburne Museum is a great place to view some art and architecture, and just down the road is Shelburne Farms and Inn along the lake with beautiful grounds and great food.

Mount Philo

Charlotte, VT 05445

This is a quick and easy hike with beautiful views at the top of Lake Champlain

Snake Mountain Trail

2601 Mountain Road, Addison, VT 05491

In the Schatz Family's backyard is one of our favorite hiking trails with a spectacular payoff at the top. It is a family-friendly, but still challenging, 4 mile round-trip hike

Haymaker Bun Company

7 Bakery Lane, Middlebury, VT 05753
, (802) 989-7026

This is our favorite restaurant (and where the welcome and brunch party are) in Middlebury. The husband and wife duo have an incredible space with amazing food. Middlebury's town center is very fun to walk around with great restaurants and shops to explore. Otter Creek runs through the middle of town, with a nice waterfall that you can walk over or sit by.

Vergennes

Vergennes, VT 05491

A small New England town with good places to eat and drink. The Black Sheep, The Laundry, Lu-Lu Ice Cream, Daily Chocolates, 3 Squares Cafe, Bar Antidote, and Shacksbury Ciders are some of our favorites
