Four years ago, Byron saw Annie on the back of his church bulletin and, smitten, wondered “Hmmm, what could she be like?” Alas, Annie was convinced she was called to religious life, and so wanted nothing to do with possible romances—her cold shoulder kept the two apart for a whole year. Eventually, the ice was broken, and the rest is history! Friends called it before either of the two knew their true feelings, but after a year of friendship they decided to try long-distance dating. In the end, their love was too great for the two to stay apart, and Byron gallantly uprooted himself from his beloved League City, TX to move to the frozen tundra of Newport, NH. Surviving COVID, family emergencies, and a traumatic car crash was not easy, but Byron and Annie knew their love was worth the work, so they pushed through leading up to the most wonderful summer the two had had together! The consolation and certainty which came from their trying and happy times together gave Byron the confidence to plan his proposal for their joint visit back to Texas in October. Annie very happily accepted, and the couple is thrilled to celebrate their special day with all of you! Thank you for your prayers and support as Annie and Byron prepare for a fruitful and happy marriage.
