Travel & Places To Stay

Flight

Santa Barbara Airport (SBA)

Santa Barbara does have it's own airport. If you are coming from the east, as most of your are, you will more than likely have to have a lay over in a near by city. You can easily get around Santa Barbara by foot or car services (lyft, uber). You should be able to get away with not renting a car. The hotel does provide a shuttle to and from the airport. Please call the hotel before your arrival to tell them your flight # and they will then have a shuttle pick you up! (805) 564-4333

Flight

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

LAX is approximately 2-3 hours from Santa Barbara. If you do fly into LAX we suggest you spend a few days in Los Angeles! LAX is far south in LA, It would take 1.5-3 hours by car from LAX to SB. You could also take a train, train options are listed below.

Travel Note

Santa Barbara Travelers

We can't wait for you to spend time in our home away from home! Enjoy fresh seafood on the warf or go paddle boarding in the cove. Walk around downtown for countless winery tasting rooms and stop into some boutique shops. Hike up the surrounding mountains for serene views of the city, and replenish at one of the many delicious restaurants. Our wedding will be at The Fess Parker by Double Tree. There are also several hotels within walking distance from the Fess Parker. Our personal favorite hotel in SB is Hotel Milo, information below.

Travel Note

Los Angeles Travlers

If you plan to visit LA, there is a lot to see! Although we prefer Santa Barbara's beaches for their peace and quite, there are plenty of beautiful beaches around Los Angeles. We would suggest Huntington Beach, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, or Malibu. If you're really feeling adventurous, take a day trip out to Catalina Island from Long Beach. We also suggest visiting one of the many museums LA has to offer, such as: LACMA, The Broad, The Getty, The Getty Villa, The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, MOCA to name a few. The Griffith Park Observatory is another must see for views of the entire city and the Hollywood sign. On a clear day you can see all the way to the ocean. And of course if you are looking for some family fun or thrills, check out Universal Studios, Disney Land, Lego Land, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Knott's Berry Farm!
